Privacy / your information

Privacy, made clear.

This notice explains what information STACK collects, why we use it and the choices you have.

Last updated 10 August 2026

1. Who we are

STACK is the operator of stackdistro.com and provides independent music distribution and label services. Questions about this notice or your information can be sent to hello@stackdistro.com.

2. What we collect

When you apply to work with us, we collect the details you provide, including your name, email address, artist or label name, location, website or social profile, music link, background and release plans. If you contact us, we may keep that correspondence.

We also record anonymous daily totals for page views, release-link clicks, application starts and completed submissions. These totals do not use cookies or fingerprinting, and we do not store IP addresses or build advertising profiles.

3. Why we use it

We use application information to review submissions, communicate with applicants and, where relevant, discuss or deliver our services. We use anonymous totals to understand whether the site and application process are working. Our legal bases may include taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving STACK, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Who receives it

Access is limited to people who need the information to review applications or provide STACK services. We may use trusted providers for website hosting, databases and email, and may share relevant information with distribution or label-service partners when needed to assess or deliver a relationship. We do not sell personal information.

5. International transfers

Some service providers or partners may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to use an appropriate legal safeguard for the transfer.

6. How long we keep it

We keep application information only as long as it is reasonably needed for review, follow-up, record-keeping and legal requirements. Unsuccessful applications are normally retained for up to 24 months, unless we need to keep them longer for a legitimate or legal reason. Anonymous aggregate analytics are not personal information.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your information, object to certain processing, or receive information in a portable form. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first if you would like us to help.

8. Security

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online system is completely risk-free, but we limit access and review the services used to store and process applications.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this notice as the site or our services develop. The date above shows the latest revision. Email hello@stackdistro.com with questions or requests.
